Also this stuff hasn't really been terribly trendy so probably still surprisingly relevant in many places.

The early Bc4/Bg5/ o-o-o stuff vs the Nardojf would I suppose be the (very obvious, large!) stand out exception.

Hello,

Good and free, I don't know, but if you are looking for resources, there is a very good book by M.Golubev "The sicilian Sozin" Gambit Publication.ISBN 1901983382.

It's quite old, though (published 2001, I believe), so I suspect the theory, especially in the sharper lines, will have moved on by now.

True, it is not recent, I mentioned it because I liked the fairly good introduction to the concepts of 6.Bc4 move and the good discussion about 7.Bb3 and 7.O-O among other things Smiley !!

In addition to the links mentioned by GabrielGale, I also found the following article: https://sydneyacademyofchess.com.au/sozin-60-minutes.

Thanks kylemeister. Did not have Golubev at hand earlier but since your prompt, had a look. Golubev cites Stoica's analysis and recommends Rf1 to 17...Qd7. Is the game an improvement?

I had noticed that game, involving a line I recall as having been hot in the '90s.  Taking a look in Golubev's earlier-mentioned book, I see that he gave 18. Qh6 (instead of 18. Rf1) as "! ±".

Typing in sozin attack into google turned up the following (as well as other stuff):
1) if you read russian:
Sicilian Defence, Fischer-Sozin Attack
The Latest Developments in Bc4 Systems (Russian Language)
by Oleg Stetsko, Adrian Mikhalchishin
http://www.newinchess.com/Sicilian_Defence__Fischer_Sozin_Attack-p-1645.html
2) Game collection at ChessGames: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessopening?eco=b86
3) Not sure about this but the latest 2012:
How to Play the Fischer-Sozin Attack in the Najdorf Sicilian in Chess : A Chessworks Publication by Ali Schiller and Ali Mortazavi (2012, Paperback)
http://www.ebay.com/ctg/Play-Fischer-Sozin-Attack-Najdorf-Sicilian-Chess-Chesswo...
[edit: found out that Mortazavi is an IM, a PhD in Cell Biology, Assistant Professor, Developmental and Cell Biology, University of California, IrvineWrong Mortzavi but here is the correct Mortazavi as written up by Chessbase together with GM David Norwood as two of the most successful chess players (i.e. financially) scroll down:

At the end of the day anything free or available for a price comes with the old maxim: caveat emptor!

Hi, are there good free articles available online about the Fischer-Sozin setup (Bc4), for White in the Open Sicilian (all kinds of sicilians)?

Thanks a lot.
