When i want to do this, i export to html and print from there, or edit the html in a word processor before printing.
More sophisticated individuals can use LaTex with SCID, whatever that is.

You may want to reassure your wife that the freeware SCID is adequate for any chess hobbyist's purposes.

What I have been doing is saving a PGN file, loading it in chessbase reader, and then printing. Kind of tedious.

I used to use Fritz 11 with a Houdini engine, but it does not manage the engine cache properly (not even close). Maybe I could try Fritz 14, but my wife won't let me spend any money on chess until we get our budget under control.
