I think the chances are even. Both teams have shown not so great games (Ghana, Algeria for Germany and e. g. Iran for Argentinia) and some really good ones. Argentinia has Messi who can decide a close game on his own but overall I think Germany has a slightly better team. Additionally a single game of football has a great deal of uncertainty factor (momentum, "luck", referee and such) so I guess anything can happen. As a german I'm rooting for Germany of course ...

	Germany has played the best football throughout the tournament and deserves to win - but my hunch is that Argentina will win despite that. The South Americans always win on that side of the Atlantic for one thing, and they have surely studied what Ghana and Algeria did right against the Germans earlier in the cup and doing that right plus having Messi on top could very well be enough.

Yea, I wonder if the situation in Brazil will change now. Still this is weird. You can't plan to win a world cup. Being top 4 is still a good result, especially given the quality of Brazil's team which is good but worse than that of some other teams. Of course the injury of Neymar and the 2nd yellow card against Thiago Silva (ok, that was a horribly stupid card) didn't help either. Thrilled for tonights much... honestly not even the slightest clue who'd be the favorite in this match.

It's even possible that they'll play better as a team without relying on Neymar to do everything, i.e. every player will have to step up and contribute. So far they haven't impressed too much. The first half vs Columbia was amazing, but in the second half they played more like Uruguay than Brazil. Argentina seems to have finally awoken and should be slight favourites vs a Holland that may not have recuperated fully from their much longer quarter-final. But Robben might be successful with his "run into the box and fall over" once again.
