Also how to 2400+ players play abroad if they are destitute and/or have financial problems, are close to bankruptcy, or any other financial hardship? Do their federations sponsor them somehow?

Organisers often provide free food and accommodation for titled players.
When I was young I used to drive around Europe with several other players in my car and we used to share the expenses.

Expenses of Playing Abroad

I notice that a lot of improving and titled players play abroad, but at the same time, seem to have no regular job, because it would be unsustainable to go on leave for more than a third of the year to play chess and keep a regular job. How do these players do this? I know that some countries provide free travel and housing for their top players as they are spponsored by for example, Ministry of Sports, but in other countries this probably is not happen all the time. Travelling third of the year might easily cost €10000 at least, including the food, plane travel, hotel, and so forth. Some of the players whom I know can do this because they have rich parents and they themselves just play professionally with no job, but how does someone with a job and family do this? Especially someone in their 20s?

I would think that either someone who is titled but has little funds has to stay home and therefore, even if she or he has the talent, has no money to travel and play in big tournaments and therefore, ends up with either a lower rating than she or he has as a real strength, or less titles and norms, or both, than someone who has same strength but more money (i.e. rich parents, rich inheritance, etc.). Is this how it works, or is there a sponsorship? Like I cannot play much big tournaments because it just costs too much, even though I want to do so. If I played as much as some titled players, I could easily have to declare bankruptcy after a few months.

Also how to 2400+ players play abroad if they are destitute and/or have financial problems, are close to bankruptcy, or any other financial hardship? Do their federations sponsor them somehow?

Just quick maths:

One big tournament in Europe:
plane ride round trip: 1000€
hotel for 2-3 weeks: 2000€
food for 2-3 weeks: 500€
taxi/transportation: 100€
misc.: 200€

Repeat for playing 10 big tournaments in one year and that is quite a lot of money.
