Hi all,

I was thinking of trying nf3 on move one. Now I like to play it kind of aggressively too.

So against d5, I like the reverse Benko/Benoni positions, and if they do not push, then play b2, bb2, qc2, maybe g4. I think Roman and that somewhat new Reti book (I think by chess stars) have some nice attacking ideas. I think I can also play Anti-Slav and Grunfeld stuff too that is interesting.

Now the thing I am not sure what to do against is nf6 on move one. If I play d4 and maybe go for a torre or colle (which I have played a lot of) what happens on d5. Just that I hate playing against the Slav. Also if I play the queens gambit, my knight is on f3, which I an not so happy about. I used to play the exchange with either 000 or f3. I believe with nf3 in the queens gambit exchange, white goes for the minority attack (not my cup of tea.)

Then also what if they play a KID set up?

I was thinking maybe trying c4 after nf6, but on c5, I am not a fan of the symmetrical English. I know I can play d4 on move 3, but never really like those positions. Or maybe I can aim for a Botvinnik set up? Or there maybe another idea I can try?

Or maybe play b3 on move 2 against nf6, but not sure how that would workout and what transpositions I have to worry about.

Then is there anything else I need to consider.
