	wooden boards are veery long lasting, I have one from my granddad, and it still looks gorgeous, not like the plastic ones

	Coincidence or somebody read my last blogarticle: http://chess-brabo.blogspot.be/2016/01/the-feel-of-wood.html B.t.w. the documentary has English subtitles for people not mastering Dutch. Marvelous piece of television which unfortunately today doesn't happen anymore.
