This reads more like a personal diary entry, or a FB post, than a forum posting. Bit odd, no?
Better to pose queries.
Well done on becoming an adult though, all the best with that.

So i just finished that stressful part in life where you are frantically worrying if your degree you just got from college will actually help you get a job, and help you start paying off those student loans...

And my free time just went down the drain.. with work, a gf, going to the gym, my chess time has significantly dropped and i no longer have time to be able to keep up and be able to practice lines that i need to be working on. Surprisingly ive only lost around 30 points from transitioning to real adult life.

So here's where im at right now...

White: d4/c4 play into whatever mainline possible.

Black:

against e4:
No more sicilians. its just too time consuming. Sticking with my French and e5.

against d4:
ive tried everything. nimzos and queens indians, benonis benkos, QGD.. but i think ill settle with Grunfeld and classical slav according to avrukh... and on ocassion ill play the nimzo and QID just because they are fun to play
