The response I got from support was to paste it as a bitmap  between this and the gaps between ranks in the rtf diagrams that I can't seem to get rid of I guess I will just start pasting bmps.

I only see three boards offered as choices. All those other Fritz boards work in my CB12 on the same machines. I use them when going over certain historical games in solitaire chess, making my opponent's move with an arrowpress and "mine" by moving pieces on the 3d board.

I do like the pastel colors, the better variation nesting, the improved save function, and sometimes the red, green and yellow squares (though I like to have the chance to figure out things for myself). But the blue top design is ridiculously ugly and the 3d boards...

I never really use the 3d boards, so I don't remember what it looked like in CB12. They've always looked off to me compared to the 3d boards that the Chessmaster folks used to do. The navigator was the ball thing right? What I can do in CB14 is right click and hold with the mouse and move around to change the view. I don't know if that was possible in CB12. I only show 3 3d boards in CB14. Do you see the others and they don't work, or do you just see the 3? Sometimes I hear back from their support really quickly, and sometimes it seems to take a while. They've been pretty responsive to my questions about CB14 so far.

I do see a bunch of boards in Fritz 15 that aren't visible in CB.

I've not got CB14 so the following might not help, but when I want to produce a Word file incorporating a game or analysis from Chessbase 12, I insert all the diagrams in the game itself (right click, Insert Diagram), select Output and then rtf. I find it much handier than inserting diagrams later and I've had no problems.

Alternatively, to produce a sheet of 6 test positions, in each puzzle/game I press Ctr+Alt+M after the first move of the solution and press Ctrl+R to save it. Then I go to the Games List, highlight the games I want, select Output and then Print Multiple Training. Then in the Printer dialogue I select the number of copies I want and print them off - a very useful feature for anyone who coaches.

I'm aware this may not address your specific problem but it might help someone else.

I've just noticed something else: if I copy a diagram position and then paste it into some text I used to just get the diagram, but now there is also the game information and result at the top and bottom. It's kinda annoying if you just want the diagram position as you have to delete the top and bottom of the pasted text.
Why has this been changed after all this time?
