Hi, my personal experience and knowledge without checking fide rule says that you cannot do this, for example Wesley So was even punished for writing down notes, so making moves on another board could be treated as "help" or some kind of "assistance". I am 99% sure it's not allowed  Roll Eyes

I'm not used to OTB chess so I was thinking maybe I could have one of those tiny 2D style sets placed on the table too. Of course, I wouldn't be doing anything but putting the game moves on it.

Considering that the Monroi has a 2D representation of the board and is allowed in USCF and FIDE tourneys (is there anywhere it's not allowed?), it would make sense that I'd be able to do this.
