Nothing so grand really. It's simply that I've spent hundreds (perhaps thousands) of hours over many years studying a lot of semi-sound responses for Black after 1 e4 e5. And now I've put them all in a book. If anyone likes any of these lines and wants to play them, they now have access to well-organized, deeply researched, theoretical material on them.

Please excuse a question or two by a very rank Novice:

Actually not. János (Wagenbach) has played that position four times. But 5 d4 g5 6 d5 is just good for White.

Apparently 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nc6 3.f4 exf4 4.Nf3 h5 is a novelty - and so is 2.f4 exf4 3.Nf3 h5 4.Nc3 Nc6.
  
The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

It looks like a very interesting book, in conjunction with the just published GM Gambits: 1.e4 by Palliser & Williams. Especially for bullet chess.  Cool

Yes, it covers everything after 1 e4 e5.

Also looking forward to this. Chesspub authored books tend to be rather good!

Particularly looking forward to the Romanishin Three Knights. I seem to get a lot of Scotch Four Knights at the moment so I'd love to mess those players around a bit.
