I'm on Everyman's mailing list and have been receiving mails signed Dan Addelman for several years. So his involvement isn't new at all.

OK, probably still newer than that of Everyman veterans like Byron Jacobs, John Emms, Richard Palliser... and Jonathan Tait.  Smiley

There’s no mention on the Everyman site. Where, oddly, the author is still listed as someone else entirely.

Yes, I've generally played 2...d5, heading for Chigorin type things. I also note that some grandmasters will only play the Chigorin when White is committed to Nf3; e.g. 1 Nf3 d5 2 d4 Nc6 and so on.

Perhaps you are thinking of variations with x...f5 and y...Nf6. Those are slightly disreputable indeed. I'm not sure if it's possible to build a coherent repertoire around them.
