I received an email from New in Chess today, directing me to the latest post in the NiC blog, where Jacob Aagaard gives some new details on what he refers to as the "New in Chess Group".
https://www.newinchess.com/blog/post/singapore He confirms that "Everyman Chess is changing its name to Popular Chess" and says "books will slowly move across as they go out of print. In 2025, we will also change the name on Kindle and other ePub formats". This last statement suggests that the Everyman ebooks will become available under the Popular Chess banner in 2025, but he didn't state that explicitly.
The blog also has links to a quarterly group leaflet, which looks a lot like the annual catalogs that Quality Ches puts out. The leaflet for Q4 2024 shows that
The Iron English by Williams and Palliser will be the first Everyman book to be reprinted as a Popular Chess title. Based on the accompanying image, it looks like the Everyman reprints will have the standard Popular Chess cover design, but presumably with unchanged interiors (although I suppose the publisher information will need to be updated).
The only Popular Chess title in the leaflet that was new to me was Cyrus Lakdawala's
The Greatest, where he selects the best players off all time (at least in his opinion).
I had the impression that the overarching company for New in Chess, Quality Chess, and Everyman Chess would be Squared Thinking Ltd (as mentioned by aoc in Reply #10), but it seems that Aagaard is using "New in Chess Group", at least for the moment.
Aagaard's blog post also announced that a new imprint, called Chess Elevation, will begin in the second half of 2025. This has already been registered according to the find-and-update.company-information site used by aoc.
