Any ideas for Black defences? I will buy both volumes. Sometimes is nice to see in advance what will be the future books to start studying one opening before we have a Quality Chess book (Rolls-Royce) in our hand!  Wink

Sorry about being a bit off-topic here... (although others have brought it up in this thread)
But do you (Jacob) happen to know if Marin will be going with early g3 versions of the English or the "more theoretically critical" lines with a quick d4?  

Either way, I'm definitely buying the book!  
But I'm still curious...

Quality Chess is indeed the publisher. The first 1.d4 book is going to print tomorrow and is exceptional in its depth. I think there are about 250 novelties in the book. Some other books are basically busted in the process.

Marin's 1.c4 book could be out in January if things go well, but they rarely do. The same is the case for the King's Gambit.

I will do 2 volumes on 1.e4 in 2009 and Boris will do a 2nd volume on 1.d4 (the rest). We are also about to sign a contract with an experienced GM on the Sicilian. We will do more books from the black side in this series, I think.

Put me down for this and the english book as well as Marin is a very impressive author - Avrukh is not an author whom I have seen before but he is very well respected theoretician. Jacob can you give us more details on this and the kings gambit in relation to date of publication.
