I have Pedersen's and McDonald's books. Of the two I think that Pedersen's is much the better, especially for the club player as he gives a lot of material on side-lines, while McDonald focuses soley on the pure Leningrad. Pedersen's is a repertiore book, while McDonald is a complete type book, so if you want to play 7...c6 you'll have to get the McDonald book as Pedersen only gives 7...Qe8.

I've not got Beim's book, but the reviews I've seen have been positive.

Does anyone know of a really good book on the Leningrad Dutch for a club level player (about 1500-2200)? As far as I can tell, the 3 best ones to look at would be The Dutch for the Attacking Player by Steffen Pedersen, Dutch Leningrad by Neil McDonald, and Understanding the Leningrad Dutch by Valeri Beim. If anyone owns or has looked at any of these books and can give a review I would be most appreciative. Also, if it makes a difference, I am planning on playing either the 7...c6 or 7...Qe8 line.
