	Its not really Kasparovs variation. The c3-line was introduced by some as a new weapon quite recently. The point with the line is an early ne5 when black has problem meating the threat Qa4 satisfactory. Akopian knew that, and thats why he played 8...a6!?. Note that 9 Be3 has been played by Anand. 9 Bg5 is more critical and black may have problems reaching fully satisfactory positions.

	Black still have some problems in the Kasparov's variation in Rubinstein system.
