My vote goes to updating the ChessBase-style e-book on the Alekhine's Defence.  Wink

Winawer, Nimzo and Spanish in that order will be more democratic.

It would be nice if there was a PGN-style alternative to the ChessBase eBooks! Sad

...another (happy) Mac user here so can't access the ebooks. I use Exachess Pro to view and store the pgn files but they can only import the Chessbase.cbf files.

cheers!

As I am currently research the Pirc (which lacks a good book in several years...) I'd like to see a Pirc eBook.

It seems pointless to vote if you cannot download the eBooks, but I guess someone might vote thinking that he will subscribe later?! Undecided

I hope that subscribers are the only ones voting here.  I don't like to think that one of my vote is being challenged by other 5 or 6 votes coming from people who do not pay a thing.

My lone reservation stems from my old habits.  I prefer to get away from the computer as much as possible, so it was nice to print off the PDF ebooks and put the computer away.  Furthermore, I use a MacIntosh and don't have access to most of the quality chess software that other members use, which makes me wary of the kinds of chessbase books under discussion.

I also can't seem to download the Chesspub.exe software.  Is this a Mac failing or a product of my own technological ineptitude?  If it's a Mac problem, would it be possible to provide a catalog of games somewhere?  I've resigned myself to pouring through old updates and taking notes on the lines I might want to return to.  Is there a more efficient way to do this (without buying a "real" computer  Wink)?

I LOVE the chessbase style e-books. The pdfs were hard to go through and kind of useless in a sense. Could youbreak down the ebooks into more parts/sections? It would be easier to go through them. Great improvement over the pdfs either way. Keep up the good work Smiley

The new chessbase style opening books are a great idea!  Thank you so much.  I have a Gold Subscription and it is now worth every penny.  My own preference is the D-pawn special sections, so naturally I would like to see more of the openings there in the new format.
Thanks again.

They are just like any other ChessBase-style eBooks, there is the text with links to the games so you can just click on the link to play through them. You need ChessBase or one of the machines like Fritz, and failing that there is always the ChessBase Light program, which is free. They aren't actually replacing the PDF eBooks, they are another 'plus'.
