Oh sorry..., I read "you are NOT interested in Tzanidakis idea". My mistake. Well, so it is your move, 7..Bg6? In that case I play 8.Ne2.

I looked at Tzanidakis idea of 7..Bg6 yesterday evening, as preparation to our game. White plays 8.Ne2! and e6 is met by 9.Nf4 of Ng5, both lines seem to transpose into the Alchemy. Thus 7..Bg6 has not much "independent" character as Nbd7-b6 might be too slow and dangerous, because black´s king is still in the middle.

I am interested in Michael Tzanidakis' suggestion: 7...Bg6. Have a nice game too, Patrik.
Bonzai might choose similar lines, as he has discussed this a few months ago ....
Yesterday I have forgotten to introduce myself. I am 41, teacher maths and physics at a school in the interior of Suriname. Though not principally and/or fanatically, I enjoy playing gambits. But I have a strong suspicion against the BDG. I have defended it one time before with Black and won.
Some ten years ago I was tired of studying theory and decided to give the Ryder Gambit 5.Qxf3 though. It is not fully sound, but neither it is so bad as most BDG books suggest.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

1.e4 d5 2.d4 dxe4 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.f3 c6 5.Bc4 exf3 6.Nxf3 Bf5 7.0-0
