I alluded to Ward's book and the possibility of accepting the gambit in the Samisch thread (eons ago?). Sure worth checking out. The surprise value is not to be underestimated, personally, have won dozens of blitz games  Although i now suspect fritz overestimates white's material advantage, not sure if would try this OTB in classical chess.

I recently read a review somewhere about Ward's new book on the Sämisch that he recommended, after 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6 5.f3 0-0 6.Be3 c5 7.dxc5 dxc5 8.Qxd8 Rxd8 9.Bxc5 Nc6 10.Nge2 Nd7 (Ward was quoted as saying that he thinks 10...b6 may be the critical continuation.  If I remember correctly.), 11.Bf2!  I think the idea is supposed to be 11...Nde5 12.Nf4 Nb4 13.Rd1!.  Anyone have any thoughts on this?  The move 11.Bf2 isn't mentioned by Gallagher in his recent KID repertoire book.
