Masters care about sharp lines in the Slav Defense, the Noteboom, the Najdorf and other openings. What about: "because these gambits offer more winning chances?"

	I think it's missing an option also: "Because Morozevich hasn't played it yet". I'm not sure if that's actually true, but it sounds like a good reason.

	Masters do not like taking risks -Nonsense, unless you think the Botvinnik Variation of the Slav a safe, solid opening, to name just one. -Masters do not like gambit play Nonsense, for decades GM's have sacced a pawn in the Poisoned Pawn of the Najdorf. Not long ago the Marshall Gambit against the Noteboom was very popular. -Masters are too conservative Some are, but the best are innovative. -BDG is hard to learn. And the Ruy Lopez, the Kings Indian and all those Sicilian lines are not? Hahaha. Some masters are too chicken. -Tal, Spassky (25+ games Kings Gambit), Kasparov, Sjirov and Anand are chicken? Only because they never played the BDG? Again hahaha. Positional chess is to blame -See previous point. Too much dogmatic thinking -See the two previous points. Other openings are as good -Other openings are better. Matter of style -GM's have no style these days. Depends on your Zodiac sign. -Must be it. Blackmar and Diemer had bad Zodiac signs. That is why Diemer never became world champion. BTW this poll is in the wrong category.

	This is a poll designed to find out why master-strength players do not play the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit more often in over-the-board chess. The author of this poll maintains the BDG is as sound as the King's Gambit, a great tactical opening.
