Maybe one can try: 6...Qc5!? 7.oo Nf6 8.Qe2 Nc6 9.Nb3 Qh5!? ("blackmail for a draw" because if White takes the pawn back, then Black exchanges queens leading to some drawish final) or 7.Qe2 Nc6 8.Nb3 Qh5.Not very ambitious for Black, yes, but safe  ??? 

I had never played the c5-variation, but well-known Qd6 gives more options: 6...Qd6 7.Qe2!? Nf6 8.Nb3 Nc6 9.Bg5 a6 10.ooo b5 11.Bd3 Be7 12.Kb1 e5 is unclear and if White castles short, Black has a good game: 9.oo Be7 10.Rd1 e5. I have recorded one line given by Kasparov: 6...Qd6 7.oo Nf6 8.Re1!? (Kasparov) but I don't remember why.  McDonald (& Harley) gave in his book MasteringTheFrench, about variation with the rook on e1 (instead of d1): 8.Re1!? Nc6 9.Nb3 Bd7 10.g3 Be7 11.Bf4 Qb4  Ljubojevic-Nikolic,Tilburg 1987 (McDonald et Harley)

Actually I was hoping for some symphaty for the Black cause. This is the French forum isn't it? 

In some ways this seems a perfect surprise weapon: There are not too many games in the databases, but quite a few GMs have tried it occasionally. And while the move is not so different from 6...Qd6 that there will be no bonus effect from knowing the strategy of that line, it still seems different enough for good preparation to be useful.

I am not sure how greedy Black should be, but trying to keep the pawn for some time with normal moves seems fairly sensible.

Anyone with experience or opinions on the variation 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nd2 c5 4.exd5 Qxd5 5.Ngf3 cxd4 6.Bc4 Qc5!?

Transpositions, move-orders, ways to avoid it etc. anything is appreciated.

I find games by strong players on the black side, but nobody seems to play it regularly.
