Thank you, I've ordered a copy.

I believe the important lines are as follows:

1) The Old Main line, with Kf1, g3 and Kg2
2) The Fianchetto variation and 10.Rb1 as played by Kramnik and Epishin
3) 5.e3 which was hot when I first started looking at Benko games (198x?, 197x ? )
4) 5.f3, with the queen sacrifice line
5) 5.b6
6) 4.Nf3, but black  could transpose to the Blumenfeld...

I hope I am not missing much...

I also became interested in the Benko some time ago and couldn't wait to get Pinski's book.
It seems to be the best book on the market about the Benko right now, but that doesn't mean too much because there are not many books on the Benko (I know Pedersen's book which is solid but didn't impress me and browsed through McDonald's book which I thought is also not that great).
Now that I've nearly gone through the book I have to say that I quite like it.
At some points it is a bit superficial, perhaps due to the fact that Pinski himself plays the Benko regularly and considers some lines harmless which are not so innocent.
But he certainly conveys enthusiasm about the Benko, at many points gives original analysis from himself and the whole game format should lead to a good understanding of the resulting positions.
So if you are willing to work on some minor flaws by yourself, the book gives you a strong weapon for black!

I have a sudden interest in the Benko and didnot like Mc Donald's Benko revealed (much more to do with the format than Neil's fault). Even so, I own a copy....

Thanks
