About Ward-Buckley: i think Qe8 is also a good solution to Bg5 , despite the final result. Black should be able to find some improvements. According to my database, Qe8 has even been played by Kramnik!

So my choice is to prefer 9... h5, if 10. Bg5, then either the afore-mentioned Re8 (intending Nbd7-f8-h7) or Qe8 (try to find improvement over Ward-Buckley, or Ivanchuk-Kramnik)
