Many thanks Tony, Papageno and Lee Roth. I was trying to open directly from the text tab but in the games tab everything is ok. I need to update my Chessbase version  Smiley

The playable eBook works like a charm for me. I check it (nimzo.cbv) out with Chessbase 10 and Rybka 3. It's ok.

Just to clarify: It contains 369 games. When opening "game 1" (the text file) the links in this one work fine for me. The links are correct, I'm getting the "Nimzo 4 Qc2 0-0 5 a3 Bc3+, 6 Qxc3 b6 intro" for instance when I clicked the respective link etc. In addition, I check that I could open the games in the cbh-file directly.

There is a slight issue with the fonts (I sometimes read "4.£c2" instead of "4.Qc2" or the figurine notation) but apart from this there are not any problems at all.

Works just as well for me in CB9, although I also get the issue with the fonts on the introduction page (the first text file).

(when I open the link I only find 4.f3 system).

It works fine for me, it may be you have an older version of ChessBase, and their system doesn't always work the way it should, and sometimes gets confused by similarly named games.
I suggest you simply go to the games list and open them individually. Alternatively you can always try to make the links work yourself: just open the game and in the text click 'Crtl+G'. Wink

No Tony, in the beginning of the ebook when we see the diagram of the Classical 4.Qc2 system I mean:
- Classical 4.Qc2 0-0 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.Qxc3 (when I open the link I only find 4.f3 system).
- 4.Qc2 0-0 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.Qxc3 b6 intro (the link have 4.f3 system again)
- 4.Qc2 0-0 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.Qxc3 b6 7.Bg5 intro (again 4.f3 system)
- 4.Qc2 0-0 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.Qxc3 b6 7.Bg5 Bb7 8.f3 (again 4.f3 system)
- 4.Qc2 0-0 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.Qxc3 b6 7.Bg5 Bb7 8.e3 (again 4.f3 system)
- 4.Qc2 0-0 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.Qxc3 b6 7.Bg5 Bb7 8.e3/9.f3 (again 4.f3 system)
and I think the same problem happens in other links.
I have the same problem with fonts but this change of systems in links I think had nothing to do with the fonts problem.

Please some members of this section check the ebooks to see if they have the same problem. Can any member open the Classical 4.Qc2 0-0 variation in the cbv ebook? (the pdf is good).

I can send my ebook to you Tony or another member of this section to check this too if needed. thanks.

Searching the Nimzo ebook in the variation 4.Qc2 0-0 I only found the 4.f3 system.

I have to admit I don't really understand this, do you mean 8 or 9 f3 ?

Tony, don't mean to hijack this thread and I know this isn't the correct forum to post this question, but I posted it in the d4-d5 and got no response from anyone. You seem to be looking for feedback on the CB style ebooks. I think they are terrific and my question is...can we get a QGD (particularly Tartakower version) CB style ebook? In fact, I would love to see them for all the key systems in all the ChessPub sections.

Thanks for any help!

I might have used the older FigurineTmsCB on some parts of the text, maybe this is obsolete now?

A similar problem seems to afflict the benoni and QID ebooks too. I've looked back through the old CB disks I still have, but cannot find this font. Any idea where I might retrieve a copy?

I'm using AriesSP. As far as I know I have all the current CB9 fonts.

Is it just me, but I find in Chessbase in the text file under Contents I get strange symbols for all the pieces in the bold notation, eg £ for Q.

That mean that you don't have the proper font installed, it might be my fault if I used an old one - which 'Figurine...CB' fonts do you have in the fonts folder?

This is an excellent format and I would encourage you to continue to convert to this style of playable ebooks.
