4...e6 and 4...b5 are both not so good in my view because white did not play Nc3 but

Quote:
4...Bg4 eg 5.Ne5 Bh5 6.Nc3 Nd7 7.Nxc4 Nf6.

looks intersting. The structure is similar to the slav mainline (with Ne5) but the question is if its a better or worse version of it. To be honest I have no idea at the moment Smiley But I will find out Smiley

You may fill the hole not with 4...e6 inviting a Noteboom, but with 4...Bg4 eg 5.Ne5 Bh5 6.Nc3 Nd7 7.Nxc4 Nf6.

Actually I realized that there is a hole in the proposed repertoire.
White can play: 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 dxc4 4.a4. I do not see any good possibility to avoid the mainline slav now , 4...Nf6 5.Nc3. Sad

We can focus on the line 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 dxc4 4.e3 Be6 here, which is maybe the weakest point of the proposed repertoire for black.

This line looks a bit dicey for Black, but I don't know of a clear way for White to keep an edge. There's coverage in the Dangerous Weapons, Queens Gambit book, where the two main lines are 5.a4 and 5.Nc3.

In brief:

5.a4 Nf6 6.Na3 (6.Nc3 g6 7.Ng5 Bd5 is another line; White has tried 8.e4 and 8.f3 here, but Black seems to get adequate counterplay) 6..c5 7.Bxc4 Bxc4 8.Nxc4 Nc6 9.0-0 cxd4 10.exd4 e6 11.Bg5 Be7 with an IQP position.

5.Nc3 b5 6.a4 b4 7.Ne4 Nf6 when White has a choice between 8.Nxf6, 8.Ned2, 8.Ng3 and 8.Nc5.  In DW, Glenn Flear takes 8.Ng3 Bd5 9.Qc2 e6 10.Bxc4 Nbd7 11.e4 Bxc4 12.Qxc4 as his main line and opines that Black should be able to equalize.

These hopelessly broad repertoire questions belong in general chess, not here.  Also personally, I think they are quite boring.

I meant that a Slav and a Meran are as comparable as an icebear and a camel...

Maybe I should really forget this repertoire and play Anands 14...Bb7 in the Meran instead Smiley

Yes, I dont fear the exchange slav, its ok if I get equality after 3 moves with black Smiley I would play the line with 6...a6 in the exchange slav.

Im not so sure about the Be6-line in my suggested repertoire, but its looks equal to me at least up to now.

Well, if you prefer to meet the Slav Exchange instead (3.cxd5) you are right. Still I wonder there is some transposition to 2...c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e4 after 2...dxc4 3.e4. Perhaps not.
To answer your initial question, it seems sound enough to me.

If I play 2...dxc4, I will just have to learn one extra variation, 3.e4, which is one of the critical moves against the QGA. So I do not see the benefit of this move order.

You might consider 1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4 and 3...c6 as well.

A new black repertoire for me:
1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nc3 dxc4 4.e4 b5 ...
                      3.Nf3 dxc4 4.e4 Nf6
                                       4.e3 Be6
                      3.e3 Bf5=
