Correct answer.

Against Kf1, Nd2 is the "cleanest" perpetual. Nxh2+ is also fine, but first we thought that taking away the h-pawn would actually save white from checks.

Kg2 is a tougher nut to crack (especially in time trouble, at least for me).  1.Kg2,Ne5+ 2.Rd5 (2.Kg1,Nf3),Rxd5 3.exd5,Qxd5+ 4.Kh3,Nf3!
5.e4,Ng5. You should have continued with 6.Kg2 Qd3! (5...Qd3 is also fine.)

Maybe I should have given the position leading up to the diagram. I was playing for the perpetual without being sure of it to work out.

Since there havent been any other reactions, let me give my solution:

I think the intended solution was
1.Kf1,Nd2! 2.Rxd2,Rxd2 3.e4 (to prevent Qh1), and now black
would probably have a slight endgame advantage after 3....Rxa2.

But I think white can force a draw with
1....Nd2 2.Ke2,Qf3 3.Ke1,Qh1+ 4.Ke2,Qf3+ perpetual.

1.Kg2,Ne5+ 2.Rd5 (2.Kg1,Nf3),Rxd5 3.exd5,Qxd5+ 4.Kh3,Nf3!
5.e4,Ng5 and I dont see how white is going to escape a perpetual as he has no way to protect the imp. field f3.

Hai Alias,

Nice position. Think I can see your intended solution,
which I would judge as drawn, despite black's positional advantage.
But from white's point of view there is probable an even simpler solution:
forcing black to take a perpetual.
(I will not yet spoil the fun of others, by giving concrete variations)

I had this position yesterday as black vs a 2300 player. We were both in time trouble and repeated with Kh1 Ne5+, Kg1 Nf3+, Kh1 Ne5+.

Can you work out what to do against Kf1 and Kg2? And what's your verdict on the outcome?
