Results of the poll:

8 people want the thread to be locked.
15 people want the thread to be deleted.
10 people do not want the thread to be locked.

That's a margin of 23-10.

@Gambit

I couldn't find the answer to your joke on the Internet, although I suspect the answer has something to do with one of Nevada's legalised industries.

MNb,

I do not have cowardly character, LOL!  Grin

Western European humor, huh? Okay... Here is some American humor:

Why does the State of Nevada have so many jobs?

I'll let you keep guessing... Grin

1. Congratulations. It does not show from some of your silly ambiguous posts.
2. Who repeatedly asks for "information" about women abroad?
3. The base consists of your silly posts about hot women and chess queens.
4. Gentlemen don't start a thread like yours about chess queens.
5. Why? We already have your threads.

Wie kaatst kan de bal terug verwachten.

Anyhow, LDZ has given us another reason to lock and delete this thread. |I am grateful for this.

Hey, MNb,

First, you know nothing about humor. The whole Chess Queen thread was intended as a joke, a humorous line at that. You and others tend to take it too seriously. Why is it that TopNotch always laughs  Grin
in his posts?

Second, you really need to appreciate American/Russian humor. I don't live in Surinam, otherwise I would not be asking you. Of course, you could ask me about American girls here, ha-ha-ha-ha... Grin
I would give you a honest answer.

Third, "base" does not consist of hot women and chess queens. Base consists of chess discussions. But  Matemax  started this stupid talk about body parts, which is neither here nor there. That's not being a gentleman.

Fourth, see #1.

Fifth, yes, you have my threads...which deal mostly with chess debates and analyses. But as soon as I post something humorous, you start whining.

Learn to appreciate American/Russian humor!

Hey LDZ,

Learn to appreciate Western European humor. You take yourself far too seriously. Matemax' stupid talk was a joke as well, just as mine.

But what I really think is that you only appreciate joking when you are making the victims, not when you are the victim. And that has nothing to do with nationality and everything with cowardly character (let's see if you appreciate this joke).

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

Cowardice is insisting on analysing sub-optimal play for your opponent in your pet gambits instead of the most critical responses.  For example 4.f3 exf3 (4...c6!?) 5.Nxf3 e6 (5...c6!) 6.Bg5 Be7 7.Bd3 Nc6 8.0-0?! Nxd4 9.Kh1 Nxf3?! (9...c5, 9...c6) 10.Qxf3 with compensation.

Or 1.d4 e5 2.dxe5 Nc6 3.Nf3 Nge7 4.Bf4 Ng6 5.e3 d6 6.exd6?! (6.Bb5 +=).

I am going to respond to this, SWJediKnight. You see, I did analyse the lines you suggest. For instance:

I. 1 d4 d5 2 e4 de4 3 Nc3 Nf6 4 f3 c6 is answered by 5 Nxe4!

II. 4...exf3 5 Nxf3 c6 is answered by 6 a3!?, a waiting move. More about it in my 1997 article.

III. 5...e6 6 Bg5 Be7 7 Bd3 Nc6 8 00! Nxd4 9 Kh1 c5  10 Nxd4 cxd4 11 Bf6 Bf6 12 Ne4 Be7 13 Qh5 gives White an edge.

IV.  (moves 1-9 same as in III) 9...c6 10 Nd4 Qd4 11 Bf6 Bf6 12 Ne4
                                                       10 Qe1

I think Leisebein has a few games with the 9...c6 line

V. 1 d4 e5 2 de5 Nc6 Nf3 Nge7 5 Bf4 Ng6 6 e3 d6 7 Bb5 Bd7!

I.  5.Nxe4 is good for equality, but 5...e5 is a problem if White wants to maintain dynamic play.

II.  6.a3 just wastes a tempo.

III.  11...gxf6 (11...Bxf6 12.Ne4 Be7 13.Qh5 g6 14.Qh6 f5 15.Qg7 Rf8 16.Qxh7 Kd7 is dicey for Black).  For example, 13.Qh5 f5, 13.Ne4 f5, 13.Ne2 Bd7 14.Nxd4 Qb6.  In all cases Black may be =+.

IV.  10.Nxd4 Qxd4 11.Bxf6 Bxf6 12 Ne4; 12...Be7 -/+.
10.Qe1 Nxf3 11.Rxf3 Nd5 =+.  These lines are undoubtedly dangerous, esp. at fast time limits, but they aren't sound.

V.  Not a bad line for Black, which is why I prefer the continuation 4.Nc3 or perhaps 4.Bf4 Ng6 5.Bg3.  For the record, after 6.Bb5 Bd7 I suggest 7.Bg5 Qc8 8.exd6 Bxd6 +=.

This has nothing to do with American humor, and if it does have anything to do with Russian humor, I now understand why Russians love their vodka: Its obviously to make terrible jokes funnier.

1. Hey, yahoos... I have had sex with women and seen plenty of hot, naked women in my life. I talk to  lots of women and am dating a couple as well.

2. If you want to talk about sex life,  why don't you go read girlie magazines like Playboy, smarty?

3.  You make assumptions about me that are absolutely off-base.

4. I could make a few assumptions on the same grounds, but I am a gentleman, and I won't.

5. Oh, yeah... You so smart-alecky, why don't you go start a new thread on sex somewhere else? Plenty of forums on the Internet. Then come back and tell me how was your education.
