Stigma0 should be considered "strongest" and has a rock-solid reputation,

But there were only one book on QID till this Jan. Considering this is one of the 2 main replies to 1.d4, it deserved more coverage.

But I agree with your theory of "Sexy" opening. U R right indeed.

It's a market issue. Books on openings that are either the strongest (played all the time on top level) or "sexiest" tend to sell best.

Take the position after 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 as an example; judging from recent GM practice the QID should be considered "strongest" and has a rock-solid reputation, while the Benoni is the sexiest (just consider all those flashy attacking games by everybody's heroes Tal, Fischer, Kasparov, Nunn, Topalov...). The Semi-Slav might fit both categories, the Bogo sadly neither...

They refuse to wright books on the Bogo-Indian. The same can be said about the sicilian kalashnikov. Very sad.

I agree. There are so many books on black defenses which are inferior or unsound. Atleast Queens India is now getting some attension.

It's a pity that we have over 10 books/cds on Dutch but only 2 on QI and BI

The latest book covering the Bogo-Indian that I know of is 'Chess Openings for Black Explained', as you mentioned. 'The Gambit Guide to the Bogo-Indian' is old (published 1998), but still has a large amount of useful material as the theory of the Bogo-Indian does not develop very quickly in most variations.

If you want to study the Bogo-Indian as Black, then the best source may be the NIC Yearbook Surveys, some of which offer very interesting ideas for Black. I don't have Schipkov's Bogo-Indian CD, and I couldn't find any reviews of it on the Internet, so I cannot comment on this CD.

I don't think there will be a Bogo-Indian book released in the near future, as the consumers seeking a Black repertoire book against 1.d4 with 2...e6 have Greet's recent 'Play the Queen's Indian'.

Wanted to know if anyone is aware of any new Bogo Indian book. There are not that many. Opening for black was not detailed enough and the Gambit book is old now.
