One thing I wonder is whether it covers some "Gheorghiu Benoni" lines which fall under E90 (this may come down to the question of whether it has a chapter on "early divergences").

Never heard those names before. It appears the writes have written a book about the cambridge springs: http://www.gambitbooks.com/books/camsprings.html Does anyone has some reviews about this book so we can know what to expect? 


I have the book on the cambridge springs, It was not a very good book, not to many explanations, many game references.... Wink

One thing about the book:  the announced number of pages went from something like 192 to 320 to (apparently the final tally) 384.  Makes it about 60% of the page count of Nunn/Burgess, but I think those had a bit of a database-dump feel.

I believe that book was generally well-regarded, e.g. by Glenn Flear (who plays the Cambridge Springs) in NIC yearbook.  Panczyk and Ilczuk have also written some other books (not always together), though.

I don't think that a book with less than 100 pages on the Classical, advocating certain ways of playing for one side, obviates the potential interest of a book which takes more than three times as many pages to cover it more traditionally/"comprehensively."

This book has been in the pipeline for quite a while, and if I remember correctly, has been delayed quite a few times. I remember getting really excited over this one a long time ago. Maybe Richard Palliser can step in here and tell us what's happening (if anything) with this one.

It looks like everyman is "uncovering" the classical King's Indian. Although the title immediately makes people look suspicious, I'm expecting some interesting stuff.
