I'm not certain, but it seems that people can still vote in polls even after they're closed.  (Not a major issue, but an annoyance.)

Can you point me to a poll where this happened so I can have a look at it?

Probably you should have seen all this extra info before the Forum upgrade as well!

Sorry, don't wish to keep harping on this point but in Firefox, this seems to be a problem. At home, I use Google Chrome and I don't have the problem.

This is what I get for each individual frum on the homepage:

Seems like a nice upgrade Smiley

Incidentally, I am currently trying the option of having the posts in the reversed order (you can change this in the User CP), with the latest one first. Undecided

Well what seems to have (somehow!) worked for me just now was going to my profile options, switching to old YABB2.1 style - when I lost the extra info - then switching back again to the new style. It hasn't come back (yet Smiley).

Baffling really, but it may just help.

Actually for me on Firefox its showing up everywhere someones name is, their status info, option to view profile, send a PM to and add as a buddy,  are all added.

Even next to every post in fact so really quite annoying Smiley

There does seem to be a black X to click but that doesn't do anything.

Just checked and its much better behaved in Opera. (doesn't seem to show at all.).

Everything works fine in Firefox for me. Does anyone else have any problems?

When you click quote to reply, the text is in a much bigger font than the original.

I guess there is a good reason for this (?!) but when you actually post the message it seems to be the same size.

Am I missing something here? I can still modify my posts (I've just done it). Is this 'cos I'm using the non-upgraded vs of the Forum (because I haven't done something, or for another reason?)?

No, you're right, nothing has changed here - probably some members will need to login again since the Upgrade.

Overall I like the upgraded Forum, but there are a couple of things I would improve:

a) I would add the 'Modify' option again as it is very useful for correcting obvious mistakes or deleting unnecessary posts (e.g. duplicates). - Edit: Ignore this, logging out and back in solves this problem. Perhaps the time allowed for editing could be reduced from 24 hours (before the Forum upgrade) to 8 hours?

b) I quite liked the Quick Reply feature, which seemed to lead to a larger number of posts each day. You can't please everyone, though.

c) Finally, I think a sub-section within General Chess would be a good idea, although this does have the risk of cluttering up the Forum with more sub-Forums.
