	Part of what made the Kasparov-Karpov matches was special was their very unfairness. The challenger had to win the match by game 24. It's only because of that stipulation that the last game of those matches featured such nerve-wracking finales. If they'd had tie-breaks, they wouldn't have been quite so tense. I definitely prefer tie-breaks, and I would like longer matches. But statistically, a short match is as good as a long match for determining which player is better. When you throw in financial considerations, the 12 game match is still better than a tournament for deciding the WC.

	I don't like danailov like any other guy and Vishy seems a great guy to me and I rooted for him but cm'on!! San Luis was not a swiss tournament, it was a DRR, be serious and topy there played super chess This match was much more exciting than vishi-kramnik and my fears that the bulgarians would do crazy things didn't come true

	I know I'll be seeing the Lasker defense more now as White, but this game didn't convince me that it's very dangerous. The game convinced me that Anand is extremely dangerous in almost any position! I thought ...e5 and f5 was a mistake, then he followed up with h5 and g5!!! WOW!!! Anand showed that nice guys can finish first sometimes. Congratulations to Vishy!

	The Lasker QGD is playable... for a draw. I think it's a bit underrated. Regarding Lasker-Schlechter, originally it was going to be 20 games (10 in Vienna, 10 in Berlin) but Berlin dropped out for financial reasons. That was a pretty hard-fought match - Schlechter was a great player, but maybe too modest for his own good. Anyway, Anand is champion again! Justice is done!

	Oh how ironic...in this computer age of ultra-sharp lines, the only win to come with the Black pieces in this World Championship match will be in the Lasker QGD variation.
