The win/loss rate of both is about 1:3, but Anand managed to draw more often.

as a matter of fact topalov defeated kasparov in their last game, which is something not according to garys taste.

The encounters Kasparov-Vladimirov happened in the 2001 rapid match Europe-Asia with Kasparov on the Europe team and Vladimirov on the Asia team.
Apparently Kasparov changed his opinion on Vladimirov's role since 2001.

According to the interviews Anand got a 16-core machine on lend from Hiarcs. 
Would it be too far fetched to suppose that he also had available the new Hiarcs 13.1 MP program, that was released shortly after the match?

Topalov has attacked Anand, saying that he shouldn't be very proud of the help he rec'd from Kramnik and Kasparov.   

Anand responded by thanking the players who helped him and saying that it was mostly emotional rather than technical support, which was greatly appreciated.

Topalov must be devastated. He not only lost the second of the two most important matches of his life, his colleagues seem to have ganged up against him.  As I said earlier, I do feel a bit sorry for Topalov.  Anand did absolutely nothing wrong, but Topalov's snide comment is a natural reaction.

"The Geller/Karpov/Spasski case is well documented".
This is a rumour as well. The only source is in a book by Byrne. Karpov's official seconds at the time were
Razuev and Furman. Though this is not conclusive:
for the 1978 the official seconds were Balashov and Zaitsev. But 5 or 6 other GM's were permanently involved in Karpov's preparation.

More important is that there is no direct evidence from Spassky, Karpov or Geller or anyone else directly involved in the match.

Wat is documented is that Geller was indeed Karpov's second for the match with Korchnoi, which took place later in 1974.

As for the Vladimirov/Kasparov case. If my memory is correct, than Kasparov admitted that he had no hard evidence. Though his verdict was rather "not proven" than "not guilty" 

Looking back on the history of the world championships between 1974 and 2009 we may be thankful to have Anand as World Champion!

Wow! I read an interview a couple years ago where he said that Vladimirov probably didn't do anything wrong and that he (Kasparov) was just under extreme pressure at the time.   I'll have to look at what he says in the book.  I'll also try to find out my source.

Geller did work for Spassky when he played Fischer. In his "The Application of Chess Theory" he tells how he used left-over preparation from that match to blow Timman out of the water
