Grischuk also has only 13 minutes left for another 13 moves.

Is a draw with black against Radjabov a good or a bad result for Kramnik? I'm rather sure Radjabov plays stronger with the black pieces?!

So according to the web site, the games start at 15:00 local time. I had to google to figure out the time zone offset. They're at GMT +4, and I'm at GMT -4, so that means games start at 7:00 AM here on the east coast of the USA.

So far, they've scored 3 draws today, but Aronian has an extra pawn on Grischuk as white in a rook and knight endgame after 44 moves and nearly 5 hours of play.

I voted for Aronian, but seeing all the support he's getting I almost wish I'd voted for Kramnik, who has to be a co-favorite.

To compensate I just voted for Kramnik, which is bad news for him, as my predictions never come true.

Why the heck is the information on the Candidates so scarce?

Well the Candidates' matches aren't as big a deal as they used to be, for sure, but they've been covered at Chessbase and Chess Vibes which are hardly obscure little websites.

As for the games themselves, if you don't like the link provided in the post above for any reason you can also try

The Wiki article tells me the first games of the Quarters are scheduled to be today -- but there is no information on this anywhere else in the web?
FIDE themselves state this information is correct, and also say the games are scheduled to start at 15:00 local time. It is 17:30 MSD atm.
Are they broadcasted live somewhere? Will they get uploaded on fide.com as soon as they're finished? Is this even happening, or did I miss something important?

It's not so hard to find. The FIDE link you provided even had a link to the live games.

I voted for Aronian, he is realy strong and in good shape. I precit that either he or Kramnik will win the candicate match. However, still unshure if Aronian can beat Anand in a WCH match, I think Kramnik has better chanses agianst Anand.

I am predicting Topa - Mamedyarov, and Kramnik vs. Aronian in Round 2, although I'd love to see Radjabov steal it away! Grin

Who will win the Candidates' Tournament?

The pairings are:
1) Kamsky-Topalov
2)Gelfand-Mamedyarov

3)Kramnik-Radjabov
4.)Aronian-Grischuk

The winners 1v2 3v4 will play each other.

Toppy and Danailov have both acquiesced and agreed to play the match against a Russian on Russian soil if it so happens.

A serious question is: What will Topalov do if he is paired against a Russian? (Kramnik for example). Danailov has stated that Topalov is not going to play against a Russian in Russian ground. Has anyone thought about that?

What will Topalov do? How about playing chess and stop being a primadonna.
