Dynamics of Chess Strategy by Jansa is very useful for 1.e4 players, lots of interesting material on the Spanish and Sicilian but also on other openings.

Can be found here for 5 pounds

Best resources for learning 1.e4 as white ?

Hi,

I haven't played competitive chess for about 10 years now. I am reasonably strong player as for amateur (2300 ELO).
I played d4 most of my life but I don't really like it anymore (mainly because I have trouble choosing all the awesome options black have after 1.d4 and I am very comfortable playing vs it). I have some time and willingness to try to improve a bit again and I would like to learn 1.e4 openings.
I need good resources for learning main/semi mani lines after 1.e4. I am generally happy with how the positions of main lines of petroff/spanish/most sicilians look so I am not going to avoid those. What are the best resources to learn ideas/modern way of playing those openings ? As to specific moves I can look those up in countless of computer books so those are not that important as getting general idea for me.
It seems that this book: http://nic.net4u.nl/Sicilian_Attacks-p-946.html is what I am looking for sicilians.
I would appreciate if you could reccomend some sources for other openings.
