In response to a request from subscriber Bill Conrad, I have given a game in the Alekhine-Chatard Attack. It features what seems to be regarded as the strongest response by modern top class players. Black doesn't take the pawn, but seems to get good chances on the queenside. Have a look at NM118.

strongest response  : not enough teasing by a GM for a chesspub subscription ?

Yeah. Try plugging in the moves into a search here on this site. Read the existing forae, and check out the books and games that are referenced.

Also, try plugging in "C13", the ECO code for the opening. Dom's been doing an excellent job of adding ECO codes to this section!

I am having trouble figuring out how to meet the Alekhine-Chatard Attack (1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Bg5 Be7 5. e5 Nfd7 6 h4!?) and equalize. Can someone point me in the right direction?
