Does it really cover the Chebanenko in 250-241=9 pages??

Most of the books are "bound together" by 16 pages, so it would be 256 pages (16*16) anyway. Still there should be space for index etc

No. I think the book was ~350 pages. Will check the number of pages later.

This is from debestezet.nl:

Index:

Part 1 — Exchange variation 9
Part 2 — Winawer counter-gambit 27
Part 3 — Alekhine variation, side line 33
Part 4 — Structures looking like “Stone Wall” 45
Part 5 — Noteboom variation, side lines 55
Part 6 — Marshall gambit 69
Part 7 — 3.Nс3 Nf6 4.e3 Variations, that are not entering the Meran 107
Part 8 — 3.Nf3 Variations, without early night development Nf6 123
Part 9 — 3.Nf3 Nf6 What happens if White declines to follow the “main” road 141
Part 10 — Schlechter variation 159
Part 11 — Rare lines, without early development of the knight to Nc3 171
Part 12 — Variation 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e3 Bf5 189
Part 13 — Variation 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e3 Bg4 215
Part 14 — 4.Nc3 rare variations 235
Part 15 — Chebanenko variation 241

It seems like it includes everything except the main line.

Got the book yesterday. I don't have it here now, but this list looks accurate.

No main line slav in vol 1.

If I read Gilchrist is a legend's listing of content correctly, the main line Slav (or wat I call the main line Slav) would indeed be in volume 1, at the bottom of the list. Volume 2 seems to deal with the Semi-Slav.

The publishing house should be Chess Evolution itself I guess?

I would imagine it is Chess Stars!

I guess not, because I asked Senko some time ago and he told me that there is no plans about Slav or Modern Slav books on the near future, but he also told me that top authors decide for themselves what to write and the way they write.  Smiley
I think the books will appear by "Chess Evolution team or house" because there are two more books: “50 tips for amateurs”, book and “401 puzzles”, book by GM Csaba Balogh.

It has been said that chess players are good at two things, Chess and Excuses.  It has also been said that Chess is where all excuses fail! In order to win you must dare to fail!

I do not see this on the Chess Stars website yet, but I think this would be a good set of books. There needs to be more Slav books nowadays...

That website shows:

Sakaev, The Complete Slav Book 1
1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.cxd5 cxd5
->-> 3.Nc3 e5
->->->-> 3…dxc4
->->->-> 3…e6 4.e3 f5
->->->->->-> 4…Nd7
->->->->->-> 4…Bd6
->->->->-> 4.Nf3 dxc4
->->->->-> 4.e4
->->->-> 3…Nf6 4.e3 Bf5
->->->->->-> 4…g6
->->->->->-> 4…a6
->->-> 3.Nf3 dxc4
->->->->  3…e6
->->->-> 3…Nf6 4.Qc2
->->->->-> 4.Qb3
->->->->-> 4.e3 g6
->->->->->-> 4…e6
->->->->->-> 4…a6
->->->->->-> 4…Bf5
->->->->->-> 4…Bg4
->->->->-> 4.Nc3 a6
->->->->->->4…dxc4

Sakaev, The Complete Slav Book 2
1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.Nc3 e6 5.Qd3
->->->->->-> 5.Qb3
->->->->->-> 5.g3
->->->->->-> 5.e3 a6
->->->->->->->5…Nbd7
->->->->->->5.Bg5

Is this supposed to cover all theory of the Slav complex?

Look, what I found at chessdom.com :
http://www.chessdom.com/new-chess-books-pack-by-the-chessdom-chess-shop/

"[...] GM Konstantin Sakaev, twice Olympic champion, is joining the Chess Evolution team and will be publishing two books on the Slav defense. The first one is coming in June, the second one is scheduled for later this year."
"Konstantin Sakaev is not only a great Russian player, but a very experienced trainer and writer, to which he dedicated his last 3 years.  During his active time as a chess player, he was one of the biggest experts in Slav, the most played opening at the current moment on the very top level by players like Carlsen, Aronian, and Anand.
With the “Complete Slav” series you are becoming an expert for White as well for Black, having the trendy lines and fashion analysis of the most recent theory."

Obviously Book 2 contains the complete Semi-Slav. And Book 1 everything else (Open Slav, a6-Slav, Slow Slav, Schlechter, Triangel, exchange, ...)!? I wonder how many pages each volume will have (1000+ ?).
