I gave myself some time, time for well-meaning friends, for real new information.
But there is not much accumulated. Maybe there was a misunderstanding? I did not ask for a single move, not for specific lines, not for reference games. I already have been very good, very recently GM and CC games archives, I already have wide analyses of the Tarrasch system.
The only thing I asked for gently were really new ideas and plans.
Well, I'm here offering an overview of the whole Tarrasch system, but all lines mostly cut on move 10/15 due to that 11,000 characters limitation, and not all the information pointing.
I favour the 5.e5... variation, some thoughts are given there.
Speaking of which, almost forgot: everything is free, offered UNPAID.
I wish to thank you those few intentioned guys.
God bless the beasts and children ... and all intentioned guys!

I have two questions.
You did not post black's move after Bc4. Do you intend to play Nb3 anyway?

Black has two options after Bc4
9...Qd6 and 9...Qh5 - 10.Nb3 follows to 9...Qd6 and I am not sure if you can successfully untangle as Black after the queens are exchanged (13...Qc5 14.Qc5). After 9...Qh5 the simple question is: "What is the queen doing there?"

I think discussing 3...Be7 is okay now. Imagine somebody posts here an ongoing corr game which just started:  1.e4. The end of Chesspub Wink Ok, we could discuss 1.d4 then Wink
(It is maybe not okay to discuss the position after Bb5+, I admit).

...

There is a world of difference between creating a post asking what to play in an active game after Black's relatively rare 3..Be7 in the French Tarrasch and creating a post saying,

"I just played a correspondence game where Black played 3.Nd2 Be7 in the French Tarrasch. I played 4.ed5 ed5 and didn't get any advantage. What should I have played on move 4 instead?"

I do use the forums here to help with my correspondence games. But I go and read the extant forum posts, I don't ask questions about games in progress. My opponents are also free to use any static (already posted) analysis on the internet. Outside help is not allowed in most correspondence chess games. Correspondence chess rewards the creative and diligent researcher.

I don't see anything wrong with White's main line: 4.Ngf3 Nf6 5.e5 Nfd7 6.Bd3 c5 7.c3. Of course, White will need to do his own research to come up with good plans.

I wonder how white can play for an advantage if black takes with the queen on c5 and just developes with Nd7,0-0,b6,Bb7 (in case of Qe2 and Ne4 just N8d7 and Qc5-c7). This looks very solid and similar to the old mainline of the Rubinstein french.

I still wait original ideas from the players in this cc game: until move 16.Bb5!? all moves have been played in game analyzed on chesspub. (guess what update!)

15.g3?! Qe7 Hansen-Schlecht,Copenhague 2004

3...Be7 is Romanishin's variation (or Morovic's variation according to Morovic). Played by armenian players such as Lputian. After some moves, the game is in the Universal System field.

I put that up so that others might solve it and enjoy it. I have the solution already, but haven't posted it.  You can apologize any time you like.

In abstraction, I have no problem with asking for opinions on positions at move 3.  But Belka is basically asking us to play the game for him.  At the least, he's asking us to be his unpaid research assistants.  It may not be against 'the rules,' but it's surely unethical.

How about this:

What's the difference? I should wreck my brain for you, unpaid?

I proved an edge for White in the variation 4.Ngf3 Nf6 5.e5 Nfd7 6.Bd3 c5 7.c3 Nc6 8.0-0 variation under a year ago, but I'm not sure if White gets anything in the 7...b6 variation. But I'm reluctant to offer more specific advice when we don't know the rules of the correspondence game in question.

1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nd2 Be7 4. Ngf3 Nf6 5. Bd3 c5 6. exd5 Qxd5 7. dxc5 Nbd7 8. O-O Nxc5 9. Bc4

looks for me a critcal way - Black's position is not so easy to play.

* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *

Play may continue:

10.Nb3 Qc7 11.Qd4 Nxb3 12.axb3 O-O 13.Bf4

* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
* * * * * * * *
*

and it is quite annyoing for Black...

Btw: I concentrate myself on the chess content for now on..

One of the recent CC games in this variation:
http://www.iccf-webchess.com/MakeAMove.aspx?id=357607
It was played in our Bulgarian Team Championship (board 3)  and I post it here in order to see it:

Hope it can help somehow..  Wink

Well, I think the difference is obvious. That is a study by Timman, here we are talking about a CC game that just started, with a player that is more than 2400 in strength according to himself. It seems weird to me to come ask here for advice in a game about move 3 in a French Tarrasch. But of course, if the tournament rules says it is okay (which we have heard neither yes or no about) it would technichally be allowed.

Still, there is advice on this line in e.g. Play the French 3, The French Defence Reloaded and Fighting the French.
