Just a fun thing that happened to me some months ago. Within just a couple days I got that mate on the board two times in 1 min+1 sec increment bullet. One time I had the pieces, one time I was the defender. Both times the mate was accomplished! I wonder what the stats are to get it in such a short span of time (No, I don't play like hundreds of bullet games per day  )

This used to be on my "life's too short pile". Never got one in decades of play. However a couple of events drove me to studying it, and it's quite easy once the method is learnt.

The first event was when I got to an ending where I had just B+N and my opponent had 4 pawns. I ended up giving up a piece for some of the pawns and drawing. However, during the game it occurred to me that even if I rounded up all the pawns, I'd have to do the K+B mate, with a crowd round me and a 10/sec increment. Having only vaguely studied it (the W method) many years ago, I wasn't relishing the thought.

Then I saw someone post about a different, supposedly easier method, called the Triangle method. I though I'd give it a try, and so I played against the KBNvK bot on ICC with it. I couldn't get it down, but at one point I noticed, oh I could try a W-method from there, but fluffed it at the end. I went back and restudied the W-method, and replayed the bot, which throws random starting positions at you. After a few tries, it became quite routine and easy.

So I reckon about an hour of study and practice (the latter being important to give you experience and confidence) and you can learn it, so there's not much excuse not to.
