	I recently won a correspondence game in the Maroczy bind (via a KID move order), my opponent didn't play the most challenging line but still a nice game, interesting to see how the engines have no clue what black should do and often just suggest shuffling around, my analysis was focused on not allowing an e5 or b5 pawn break Download game in pgn format

He has a couple options that produce reasonable positions, but they don't give white reason for pause, either. The Maroczy Bind is necessary for Classical KID 1.Nf3 players, anyway, hence why I called it a stock weapon. It is the spine of the repertoire.

	Its been a main line for ages so sure But sufficient to kill the game? Very unlikely. Not that sort of position and always lots of options to deviate pretty early.

	1.Nf3 g6 2.e4 c5 3.c4. The Maroczy Bind is pretty much a stock weapon in most 1.Nf3 repertoires.

	Very nice idea indeed... if you are willing to face 2.... c5 when we have a Sicilian. I would appreciate any ideas for when White opts to follow a path avoiding the Sicilian.

	Khalifman (in the 2nd edition Kramnik series) gives 1.Nf3 g6 2.e4 to avoid this (although he more likely wants to avoid 3...c5)

	1.Nf3 g6 2.c4 Bg7 3.Nc3 e5 How to face this as White in the most ambitious or sound way to aim for an advantage? I am thinking of using the repertoire with 4.d3 with 5.g3 idea.
