Definitely looking forward to this. From Malanjuk's recent games he has been using 7...e6 a few times, which is also covered over two chapters in the Dangerous Weapons book. A great move that appears no worse than the usual 7...Qe8 or 7...c6 or 7...Nc6.

Of course, it remains to be seen what variation he goes for, and whether he can produce something to rival Kindermann.

This should be a great book, can't wait to see it.

Indeed, a book on the Dutch by the Maestro can't be wrong. I doubt he'll convince me to go back to 7...Qe8, but it will certainly be interesting to see his preferred solutions to 2.Bg5, 2.Nc3 and some other white options.

I just noticed that Chess Stars is planning to release a new Leningrad Dutch repertoire book authored by none other than Malaniuk himself!!
http://chess-stars.com/Future_Plans.html

As they remind us, "GM Malaniuk has been the main driving force behind the Leningrad Variation for decades."

I just might have to start playing the Leningrad again...
