Have you tried Glek's 4.g3 ? If not it should be worth trying it out to see if it fits you. Or just check the database for the titled guys who play it.

Another natural alternative for a 4Ner could be playing some kind of Vienna with 2.Nc3 and 3.g3 where Nge2 instead of Nf3 offers something related but slightly different.

Hello,

I, like many, play chess from time to time. Childrens and work dont allow me to study much, so I basically do tactical exercises to stay fit, and look at commented games from to time to time in book, without board.

Over the years, I have made a sound repertorie, which main characteristics is: Active play, more based on know a few piece setups (which will allow me not to study openings very much) and try to play an open-semiopen game where tactics predominated, I mean, few teory and easy to play.

My problem is I have been playing agains 1...e5 the four knignts (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.d4 ....etc), as it is relatively easy to learn but a bit passive.

Do you know of a more agressive opening system easy to learn that could fit my taste? It doesn't matter if lines or current theory says it could not give any adventage, if it give me a playable and non-clearly inferior middlegame, and easy to learn, or easy to force opponent into it.

Thanks all in advance.
Fer
