Some random workround for an odd bug in some engine at some point I guess. Once that sort of thing creeps in it often hands around past the point of having any purpose Smiley

Funnily, I was wondering yesterday why this option exists without looking in the help. The option still exists in Fritz 13

In Fritz_11, under menu Tools > Analysis > Shootout (and I think in some other menus too), there is a checkbox control to optionally - "Skip Even Plies":

Help says: "allows you to avoid the weakness of some engines at even plies."


What is this supposed weakness?
Why would such a weakness exist?

Does Fritz_11 suffer this weakness?
