Blundering with Ba5 x c7 dropping a piece in quite such a simple looking manner might give Carlsen a few sleepless nights.

Well, Carlsen had spend quite some time to keep the position bad but not losing and eventually dropped a piece in time pressure. I think preparation and time management were more important factors than the exact way Magnus finally lost a material in the end.

Not just opening preparation mind. That black position wasn't pleasant but it didn't look hopeless.

Interesting to observe in the light of our previous conversation in this thread regarding openings: Opening preparation does seem to matter after all..  Wink

Lol at all the guys saying this match was over a day ago. What a difference a win makes. Match is back on and king Vishy is taking his crown back!

I think this is basically good opening preparation versus... not so good opening preparation, I don't think we'll see more games like this
but we've had three very interesting games already, which is pretty rare in a match like this

It's funny to watch Vishy on the webcam. You can tell he's wanted to move instantly the last several moves but he's trying so hard to slow himself down.

Eval on official site is +6.85. It is over.

Carlsen is busted according to my app (after 28. ...Ba5). Go Vishy!

Jup, seems like we see Anand winning here. The pin along the c-file seems to be completely winning

I'd buried Anand before the match started, not because of game 2.  Just to be clear Wink.  But I could certainly be wrong, and this game might show it.

Me too. I don't root for anyone here. But it would make the WC match so much more interesting ...

I kind of want to see Carlsen win the match, but I'm with you...it would be much more interesting to see him work for it.  Smiley

15 minutes to make 14 moves. Carlsen is definitely in danger.

Doesn't look easy though, and the sort of position where Carlsen is properly fearsome. Well rather good anywhere of course!

After some of the things Carlsen has done, wouldn't even be totally shocked if he found some way to win this Smiley

EVERYONE had buried Anand after game two. I just sat in my chair dumbfounded at that. I know why they said it, but come on!

I didn't. Hopefully Anand will convert this advantage and square up the match. The Tiger from Madras is roaring again!
