It will almost certainly work as CB9 should read any ctg opening book. There are other opening book options which offer regular updates eg. http://www.hiarcs.com/chess-opening-book.htm

Chessbase 9 and Powerbook 2015

I'm running chessbase 9 under windows 8.1.  I'd like to upgrade my opening book (currently user Powerbook 2008).  Will Powerbook 2015 work with chessbase 9? 

I asked the folks at chessbase and they said they no longer support chessbase 9.  I don't want to buy Powerbook 2015 and find I can't use it with my chessbase version.

Thanks for any help on this.
