I remember that somebody said that they found some problematic line for Black in 3.Nd2 Nf6 variation.

I don't remember if they commented on 3...Nf6, but for a decision to recommend 3...c5, surely it's enough to claim that 3...c5 is good and their analysis holds up? After all, Ntirlis is an expert on 3...c5, though admittedly he espoused the exd5 exd5 lines here on the forum for a while before feeling compelled to switch to ...Qxd5 for the book.

They could argue (maybe they did) that 3...Nf6 is too theoretical to fit in a one-volume French repertoire. In fact, Quality Chess released Emmanuel Berg's French repertoire volume on everything except 3.Nc3 around the same time, and it did cover 3...Nf6, so there couldn't be that much wrong with it according to the QC team.

Yes, it's a recognized transposition, but it's committing White to play a certain way (and perhaps not the best, as far as I know) within the Tarrasch line.  As in, after 1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nd2 Nf6 4. e5 Nfd7 5. f4 c5 6. c3 Nc6 7. Ndf3 Qb6 besides 8. Ne2 there is the traditional main move 8. g3, and also 8. a3 and 8. h4.

Do you remember which line in 3.Nd2 Nf6 complex forced Aagaard&Ntirlis to recommend 3...c5 in their book? Is there any thread about that book? I haven't managed to find any. Thank you.

Yeah, there's nothing really wrong with that move order. As you put it, it's a question of whether you'd rather allow the Winawer or 3.Nd2 c5 and Black's other tries there (3...Be7 and so forth).

Playing 3.Nc3 to enter a Tarrasch?

I've seen some games start like this:
1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. e5 Nfd7 5. Nce2 c5 6. c3 Nc6 7. f4.

Won't this just tranpose into a Tarrasch line with 1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nd2 Nf6 4. e5 Nfd7 5. f4 c5 6. c3 Nc6 7. Ndf3?

I was thinking this might be a good way to play the f4 Tarrasch as White but avoid 3...c5.
