	I actually went through Negi's analysis on this today. Have struggled against this line in the past so decided to really book up on it. The theory is awkwardly deep and precise for such a minor line, but Black looks to be doing poorly in all variations.

	Give no quarter. Expect none in return. Punish mistakes ruthlessly. Seek simplicity when ahead. Seek complications when behind. Respect every opponent. Fear none.

	I have not the same variation than brabo as best for White in my comments now a little outdated (some years now)... It's a gambit in the classical line of Boleslavsky (Na4 was Bosleslavsky's idea), and popular mainly in the eighties (1985-1990). In their book Psakhis and Tiemann gave 14.Bd3 and 14.Qb3 are the main reason for the out-fashion qualifier for the sacrifice. More recently in one of his book, Khalifman is cheering 14.Bd3 Some of the variations, but it would be better to analyze a lot of Jan Timmann last games as White in this line A) 14.Bd3 Ba6 (14..Nc5 15.Nxb5 bxc5 16.oo Bd7!? 17.f5! Khalifman ... 17...c4 18.Bxc4!? dxc4 19.Nxc4 Qd5 20.Na6+ Ke7 21.Qd3!?) 15.Nb2 Bxd3 16.Nxd3 Qc3 17.Ne2 oo! 18.Rc1 Qa5 19.Qc2 Qa6 20.Nb3 Rac8 21.Qd2 Rc4 unclear) Wang Zili-Borges,Thassalonique 1988 (Short) B) 14.Qb3 (with the idea Qb5) a6! 15.Rc1 oo 16.Be2 b5 17.Nc5 Nxc5 18.Rxc5 Bb7 19.Rc2 Rac8 20.oo Rxc2 21.Qxc2 Qc3 C) 14.Qc2!? Timman-Jussupow,Tilburg 1986 Like in other gambits line of the French defence, it is not so easy for the unprepared players...so it's good advice for White, to have a well worked analysis against the sacrifice

Hey All,

Does anyone have a bust to the following gambit? I know that 13...b5 is bad, but how do you combat 13...b6? I've encountered this in blitz a few times and it is difficult to play against. The comp doesn't find existing theory very convincing. I'm only showing a slight plus for white. However, it's tricky for a human to play as white, so black has compensation in that regard. Any thoughts? I thought there was a line recommended by bologan on his french DVD for chessbase, but i no longer have access to it.
