That will take some time for sure, once I figure out what's exactly in the complete video series and buy those videos that do interest me... but I'll get back on this.

No need to apologize!  Let's maybe change the discussion to the lines or videos themselves, if you've found out what they are.

I simply thought that, to keep this board alive, every reasonable question would be appreciated... and I took the chance that someone who had the videos would be happy to list them... sorry...

I just meant that there's a difference between asking what an author recommends when we're already discussing the book (when we know that people here have it) and starting a new thread to do so, when we may or may not have the book or video to be able to answer the question.  I simply searched for "Alterman Gambit Guide Video" and noticed that ICC is selling them.  Sorry if I came across as rude.

Sure, I did't know that these were produced by ICC before someone told me here a couple of days ago, so I had no idea what to search for...

I think what ErictheRed may have meant is that if you just do a simple search, you get the answer. Instead of asking here and getting someone to do the work.
I just typed "ICC alderman" into search engine and got the following:
https://www.chessclub.com/user/chessfm/index/alterman/index.html or
https://store.chessclub.com/videos/gm-boris-alterman
then this

Ultimately, I don't see that "big" difference with my question here and the many, many questions asking something on the lines of: "Is the author reccomending the Tarrasch or the Advance Variation vs. the French?" or "Is the author covering positional or tactical lines?". If you see those videos as a "book", that would be like asking for some table of contents... Cool

Anyway, thanks for your suggestion.

Maybe try emailing ICC, since that's who's selling the videos?  Honestly, I'm sometimes surprised at these sorts of questions here.  On the one hand it's nice to get some discussion going about a particular book or video series, but if the intention is only to know what lines are covered, an email to the publisher is probably best.  Then you might start a thread here with the response you receive, which would be helpful to everyone and might spark discussion of particular lines.

Sure, but videos covered more openings than the three books... for example there is a video on the Belgrade Gambit in Four Knights, and that is not covered in the books... That's why I am asking for a detailed list  Smiley

I already have the books, thanks, but my understanding is that Alterman produced a series of videos that cover more lines. Before eventual purchase I'd like to know exactly what is covered in these videos.

I dont know what was covered in the videos but i think I have read somewhere that the books were  based on the videos he did

I see that there are videos of the famous "Alterman's Gambit Guide" series other than the three books published by Quality Chess a few years back, covering a lot of openings / variations from either side... Could someone who has them kindly provide a detailed list of all of Alterman's reccomendations in this series? Thx!

PS I mean, not analysis, just the openings covered in the various videos, e.g. Belgrade Gambit, Shara-Hennings Gambit, etc. etc.
