A bit of a pity that against the Göring something very reputable and drawish is recommended.
Sorry

, but there were all sorts of reasons for that:
1. I've generally played 4...d5 myself (after a few reverses where I just took everything).
2. It fits with my repertoire elsewhere; i.e. via the QG Chigorin.
3. It's consistent with the "meet c2-c3 with ...d7-d5" ethos (although I abandoned that in the Danish).
4. It may be
theoretically drawish but
practically it's very good for Black (close to 60% in TWIC database, and my own score is more like 75%).
5. 4...d5 and 9...Qc4 is, I suspect, the line the Göring Gambiteer
least wants to face. They tend to slump in their chair at the sight of it.
PS Have you found your name in the book yet?
