I play this consistently. The only losses are when White takes on d5 and I overstepped in an attempt to sharpen the game.

Highy playable.

I played it in the Club Championship as a shock weapon and it worked really well. A Fide master coaches my opponent and she plays the bishop b5 stuff against the Sicilian.

It seems to me you ought to worry less about the opening and more about middlegame tactics. Because the theory is less worked out here, in my opinion, things like the Bishop on d3 hitting h7 matter more. If you look at the Guimard (3.Nd2 Nc6) or this, the HR (Nc3 Nc6) games you will see that Black has to be good at calculation and keep a level head as he could very easily enter a tactical domain.

Look at the games Philippe-Bricard Noyon, France 2008 OR
Rasmussen-Brynell (a player I like) Ballerup 2008.

I think you will see that because the theory is still somewhat undeveloped, you'll have to make up your own mind as to what kind of weaknesses you can live with and what to do about them, and how to get active play.

It's worth noting that instead of Bricard's 9...Be7, Watson prefers Bxb4.
