I am fairly sure this move has already been discussed in the thread about Christophs book if you just go look it up.

I see your point and agree that a4 and Ba3 are more critical but not so dramatical after all. But anyway the position doesn't seem so much for black.

Maybe your idea for earlier improvements can be interesting, but I'm skeptical about the chances of the attack to work as black has some pieces which will never be able to get on the king side.

I'm always happier when
I'm a pawn down.

I'm not sure it's that much of a problem. After say 14.b5 Nb8 15.Nc5 Bxc5 16.dxc5 c6 Black looks fine to me. I know that Black's dark squares don't look great, but I can't see a way to exploit that and long term White may be over-extended. It's possible that a4 and Ba3 first might be better, but after the exchange of bishops and b6 I wouldn't be too unhappy with Black's position.
If you want earlier improvements then I'm not convinced that Nf7 or Bxd3 are correct as g5 is probably going to be a pawn sac' anyway so maybe doesn't need so much preparation.
These are my first impressions anyway.

Problem in a Wisnewski line

Hi guys!
I was checking the following line from Wisnewski's "Play 1...Nc6" (pg. 54):

1. e4 Nc6 2. d4 d5 3. e5 f6 4. f4 Nh6 5. Nf3 Bf5 6. c3 e6 7. Bd3 Be4 8. Qe2 f5 9. Nbd2 Qd7 10. O-O Nf7 11. b4 Bxd3 12. Qxd3 Be7 13. Nb3 h6
Here the guy gives only 14.a4 g5. Both at move 14 and at move 15 white could play b5 creating some problems to black as Nc5 is coming.
A possibile alternative could be to simply exchange on d3 and castle kingside but it doesn't really seem fun!

Any suggestions/improvements (possibily not on move 1! Cheesy)?

Thx in advance.
