Indeed, and it's difficult to say what Black should play then. But for the time being I like 5...dxe5. Simple, direct.

The whole line with 3.Nc3 is challenging. (Website proceeds apace, btw).

I just noticed that 1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 Nd5 3.Nc3 Nxc3 4.dxc3 d6 5.exd6 exd6 6.Nf3 transposes into 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.Nxe5 d6 4.Nf3 Nxe4 5.Nc3 Nxc3 6.dxc3.  Funny.  Black probably has better than 5...exd6 in the first line, of course.  Bagirov once gave 5...Qxd6 an exclam, but I think that 5...cxd6 may be the best move.
